We absolutely thoroughly enjoyed the day and cannot extol it’s virtues enough, there is plenty to appreciate for the family in addition to watching the fun of the soapbox derby and the setting is beautiful at Hanway Common!.

We are deeply humbled to be in receipt of a cheque for £2750 which is overwhelming, and we just cannot thank all involved with the Richards Castle Soapbox Derby enough….it’s an eye watering amount and the most we have ever been fortunate enough to receive in one go! So please all get along and have a fab day out on the 9th July 2017 for the next Richards Castle Soapbox derby

Thanks to you fabulous Dreamcatcher Children supporters we have been able to reserve an adapted cottage for a 4 year old boy and his family to spend a week at Center Parcs  October.... they were over the moon and it gives them a positive focus throughout the years trials & tribulations of procedures and hospital appointments ....THANKYOU! I can also now tell you they had a fabulous time and were able to hire an adapted wheelchair bike which helped the young fella have some brilliant experiences and a wonderful time was had by all the family to quote them" It was amazing! We had such a wonderful time full of cycling, walking, swimming and general good fun... we were able to hire the wheelchair bike which our little boy of 4 absolutely loved, his face lit up and there were squals of joy riding over the bumps or whoshing down the hills. He was also very excited at the daily trip to the swimming pool where he bobbed around in the wave pool and floated in the warm bubbles by the fountains...it was lovely to spend time just doing nice fun family things which wouldn't have been possible without you and for that we are truly grateful"  Thank you all you wonderful Dreamcatcher Children supporters

Absolutely brilliant day on the Dreamcatcher Santa Special which took place on Sunday 14th December 2014 on the Welshpool & Llanfair Railway....what a magical time was enjoyed by all. Absolutely brilliant day  from Llanfair Caereinion....A big thank you to all the volunteers from Welshpool and Llanfair railway for making the day so special and a huge thank you to all of you who were able to join us on the Santa Special and share the magic of Christmas! EPIC!!! Check out the photo's on this page, they express more than words can ever do!

Thanks to all you wonderful people who have donated monies too Dreamcatcher Children's Charitable Fund this little girl and her family had a wonderful time at PEPPA PIG WORLD earlier this year

What a fabulous evening it was at the LORD HILL Shrewsbury last night 30th October, Paul Ray(Rushworth), Paul Challinor and Millie an out standing 16 year old singer who must have a terrific future on stage in musicals or just as a solo artiste and not forgetting Geoff Rushworth who displayed his usual outstanding close up magic!! Together with all their friends and family they entertained and raised monies to benefit Multiple Sclerosis and DREAMCATCHER CHILDREN!  All giving up their time and energies freely so others less fortunate may benefit and of course the monies raised would not have been possible without all you wonderful people who attended and paid to watch this music, magic and mayhem and as many found out when Paul R sings Crying ...bring an umbrella in future!  Thank you also for the donations from those who could not attend too and money raised on the raffle! We are blessed to have such caring supportive folk in our community!

Following Watts Fitathon 2014 which entailed 3 hours of dance fitness hosted by Carla Watts (Zumba with Carla, Fitsteps Shrewsbury with Carla) and Leah Watts (Zumba with Leah) at the Shrewsbury Sports Village on the 21st September 2014, a phenomenal £800 has been donated to Dreamcatcher , raised from an entry fee and a raffle plus items sold on the day, this is a wonderful fillip to our funds and will go a long way to supporting our annual Santa Special on Sunday 14th December 2014 at the Welshpool & Llanfair railway!  A massive thank you to Carla and Leah and all those who supported them on the day.... you are all brilliant!

Roger and Pam Wilde celebrated their Ruby wedding anniversary at the Trinity Centre Meole Brace on Sunday 6th July and following their request for no gifts & asking for donations to DREAMCATCHER CHILDREN instead, they have donated £555 to DREAMCATCHER....an exceptionally selfless and generous gesture....THANK YOU!

We would just like to thank you all for your great support in helping us make the concert at the Walker Theatre last Thursday night, 27th March, such an unqualified success, not only did you turn out in your numbers but donated more money through the prize draw too!

We hope you had a good night and would like to say a big big thank you to all our prize givers(SEE DONATION Honour Roll page) and the bands Toy Hearts and Almost Bluegrass too as well of course to anyone who helped in any way especially Kate Wilde and the students from Shrewsbury College business course, for all their marketing work and soliciting of the fantastic draw prizes.

We are pleased to let you know we raised a total of £2330 profit from the evening for Dreamcatcher  a good size donation from which will be going to Severn Hospice too.

We have already set to work with the funds and have booked one little boy and his two siblings and parents on a deluxe caravan holiday at Newquay Wales in July, where the site has lots of facilities including a heated indoor pool which is beneficial for the young fella's health condition.

We are also finalising a weekend away at a hotel in Alton Towers with free passes for the water park and amusements for another little chap and his four brothers and parents.

We  have links to the two bands should you wish to see them or indeed hire them, they were fabulous! Almost Blugrass contact: noirrem@gmail.com

Thank you all so much once again for brightening the lives of these children and their families.

Back to making dreams come true

Michael and his cousin enjoyed a tour of RAF Shawbury thanks to the brilliant support and kindness of RAF Shawbury, during their visit amongst many things Michael and his cousin Daniel sat in a Red Arrow jet! Thankyou so much to all at RAF Shawbury for making this dream come true!

Dreamcatcher also arranged a flight with Whizzard Helicopters at Welshpool Airport for Michael and Daniel in August, very excited they enjoyed a thrilling experience high above the countryside of   Montgomery, Churchstoke, Corndon Hill, and over Long Mountain.  Yet another dream come true thanks to all you fantastic supporters of DREAMCATCHER   Thank you all so much!

Our intrepid explorers and their guides at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro the highest free standing mountain in the world!  Thanks to these fine efforts over £1750 was raised for DREAMCATCHER and thousands more by Ian and Karen Teece for Hope House

...More sad news... Doug Jones, one of our regular supporters & donors passed away 20th March, 2013. We will miss this fine chap he had many attributes , never mentioning  the trials and tribulations of life just enduring or enjoying them. Our thoughts are with his children and their families. Doug's daughter Angie has is in the vanguard of continuing the families support for DREAMCATCHER and Doug and his family have donated £300  the entire proceeds of Doug's funeral collection. In a time of deep sadness their selflessness brings hope & joy to children.....what special people!!!!!

It does not seem long ago Doug shared with us his birthday celebrations and his family were donating donations of monetary gifts he received for his 90th birthday! So his legacy will live on!

Some very sad news! Stan Croft, one of our regular supporters & donors passed away 1st February, 2013.  We will miss this great fella immensely and our thoughts are with his wife Midge and his family....but you cannot subdue his fundraising efforts as Midge has picked up the baton and is continuing their support and Midge and the family have donated £328.13p towards DREAMCATCHER from Stan's funeral collection. In a time of deep sadness their selflessness brings hope & joy to children.....what wonderful people!!!!!

2012 has truly been a wonderful year for DREAMCATCHER CHILDREN's charitable fund set up to improve the lives of  sick and disadvantaged children....Thanks to the very many generous donations and fundraising activities supporting Dreamcatcher, we have managed to brighten the lives of many children in the Shropshire and Mid Wales area, there are really too many people to thank for their efforts, donations and support but you know who you are...

A special mention must go to Helena Jones who gave £150 of her 16th birthday money, a truly selfless act.... also Esme Ramsden  has donated £266 after a sponsored silence, what a fabulous effort and donation to DREAMCATCHER.

Sarah Hodnett and family from Beauty by Sarah at Pensfold Shopping centre Gains Park who made a substantial donation from an evening of beauty treatments celebrating Sarah's first year in business

Esme is an inspiration to us all at the age of 5 she was diagnosed with brain cancer and has had her trials and tribulations since.

Now a teenager at college Esme recalls " I suffered from brain cancer at the age of 5 and Dreamcatcher sent me and my family to Paris Disneyland for a week! I would like to give something back for all this charity has done for me"

Thank you Esme and Helena  we are humbled by your kind thoughts ,actions and donations you are truly  great examples of a caring and thoughtful selfless young people ....and terrific role models for your generation

Doug Jones of Shrewsbury donated the entire proceeds of his 90th birthday party totalling over £600 instead of having gifts he asked for donations to Dreamcatcher...an exceptional and generous gesture!

Dreamcatcher's many fundraising  proceeds from such events as the 'Three Men and a Bow tie' evening in the Spring and the Mount Kilimanjaro climb has allowed us to help many children and their families culminating in December when over 150  folk made up of children and their families from the Shropshire and Mid Wales area enjoying a day out on the 'Santa Special' with the Welshpool and Llanfair Caereinion railway as hosts and we have not forgotten those less fortunate than us worldwide and have managed to improve the lives of children in the Orphanage of Grace and Love in Yangon Burma, where a donation has helped them fix a toilet pipe so that  the children no longer have to carry pails of water from the well , they also have a new bicycle to  collect provisions from the market and a battery to assist with power when the many electricity outtages occur

So thank you for your kind support and generosity in brightening the lives of children near and far.  In these days of doom and gloom and recession there is a shining light of hope for humanity that kindness and selflessness is still evident in abundance and we look forward to 2013
